Following the government guidance announced earlier this week, most UK theme parks have recently confirmed that they are planning on reopening from 12th April 2021. Individual theme park information can be found below.
Alton Towers Resort have recently confirmed that they plan to open both the theme park and Enchanted Village from 12th April 2021. Indoor rides & attractions are expected to be closed until further notice.
It is expected that all outdoor rides & attractions will be open for guests to enjoy. Upon reopening, indoor rides & attractions are expected to be closed until further notice.
In line with the latest Government guidance, the Alton Towers Waterpark plans to open as part of ‘Step 3’ from May 17th 2021.

At present, Alton Towers Resort plan for our Woodland Lodges to be open from April 12th. They offer self-contained accommodation with the necessary amenities required to open as part of ‘Step 2’ set out in the latest Government guidance. Please note that each Lodge can only be used by members of the same household and no shared facilities (restaurants, bars, indoor areas) will be open.
The Resort will continue to provide an extensive range of safety measures, designed to ensure a happy, safe and healthy experience for all guests and staff. Please note that in addition to previous measures, all guests (over 11 years old) will now be required to wear masks on all our rides* which may be different to your previous visit. All guests with pre-booked park tickets for dates between 27th March and 11th April will be able to move their booking to a new date.

Unfortunately, we are unable to open our indoor rides from the 12th April and therefore the following attractions will be unavailable:

Reopening information will be made available on the official LEGOLAND Windsor Resort website when the resort are able to confirm the details.

The health and safety of LEGOLAND's guests and staff is always their number one priority and as a Covid-secure venue the resort will continue to provide an extensive range of hygiene and safety measures to ensure you have a fun and safe day out.
This includes temperature checks on arrival, enhanced cleaning, one-way systems, and social distancing markers in ride queues, shops, restaurants and more. To allow for social distancing and additional cleaning, a reduced the number of guests that we let into the Park each day and everyone must pre-book their tickets.
From 12th April 2021, face masks are now required on all rides (we recommend you remove these on water rides) for guests aged 11 and over*, as well as in other locations throughout the Park.
*Government exemptions are outlined here. People with certain health conditions and people with a disability are exempt. Water/splash rides also excluded.
